Lamine and Aitana receive Aldo Rovira award for best player for 2023/24

One more prize for the collections for Lamine Yamal and Aitana Bonmati as they received the Aldo Rovira Memorial award, now in its 15th edition. The winger's explosion onto the footballing scene and the Barça Women double Ballon d'Or winning midfielder were recognised as the best players from the 2023/24 season by a jury of journalists from various media outlets. The two players received the award from representatives of the Rovira family.
Lamine follows on from Marc-André ter Stegen, the previous winner of the award, after being handed the award in an event at the Ciutat Esportiva. The teenager thanked everyone for the prize and spent time talking with members of the Rovira family. Aitana Bonmatí was also present to pick up the award in the women's category for the second successive season.
The Aldo Rovira Memorial Award is now in its 15th year and it was created by former Barça director Josep Lluís Rovira in memory of his son Aldo who died in an accident in 2009 at the age of 37.
