The 2022/23 Barça Players Award has gone to Marc-André ter Stegen and Aitana Bonmatí. The FC Barcelona players were handed their prize by the president of the Barça Agrupació de Jugadors, Juan M. Asensi, and Rafael Yuste, FC Barcelona vicepresident, who in his speech highlighted the modesty and leadership skills of both winners. Those values are rooted in the FC Barcelona philosophy that the Barça Women midfielder and the German goalkeeper help diffuse around the world.
In the case of Aitana Bonmatí, this becomes her third consecutive Barça Players Award, a feat that no other player has previously achieved. After a great year on the field, winning a second Champions League title for the Club, the League and the World Cup with the national team in which she was chosen as the best player of the tournament, she was also named Ballon d'Or. At the gala for the prestigious award, the Catalan midfielder spoke of dedication, sacrifice and, above all, surrounding herself with long-time friends and family to help keep her feet on the ground.
In the case of Marc-André ter Stegen, this is his second Barça Players Award. His leadership in the dressing room helps guide new arrivals to the first team. The German is, along with Sergi Roberto, the last remaining player from the team that won the Champions League eight years ago. Since his arrival in Barcelona that very season, he has settled into Catalan life and culture and has become one of the most important figures in the Barça team. As second captain of the team, Ter Stegen thanked the members of the Agrupació who voted and the professional jury who selected him for the award.
Tribute to Johan Cruyff

The game will take place at the Estadi Johan Cruyff and kick off is at 12pm CET.
