Monday saw the draw for the 2026 basketball Copa del Rey which will take place in Valencia between 19 and 22 February. FC Barcelona will face either UCAM Murcia or Baskonia in the quarter finals of the competition which will take place on Friday 20 February. 

If Xavi Pascual's side make it past the last eight then they will face the winner of the game between UCAM Murcia and Baskonia or La Laguna Tenerife on Saturday 21 February at 9pm CET. 

Barça will be seeded in the Copa del Rey after finishing the first half of the league season in third place in the table with a record of 12 wins and five defeats. 

Xavi Pascual: "Being seeded is very satisfying"

On Sunday in a press conference the blaugrana boss Xavi Pascual seemed delighted with his side's progress to being seeds in the Copa del Rey. "We have to congratulate the team for all they are doing. When we kicked off being seeded seemed a pipe dream. The main objective was to make to the cup as a seeded team so that is very satisfying," said the coach. 

"We will have to see how we come into the Copa del Rey after the next seven games, but we have do it with victories, playing well with confidence and stability on offense and defense." 

Endesa Mini cup 

Monday also saw the draw for the Minicopa Endesa for the U14A side, champions on the last two seasons. The Barça youngsters will be in group B against Tirma Gran Canaria, Cajasiete Fundación CB Canarias and Casadamont Zaragoza. The competition will run from 18-22 February in Valencia.
