Leo Messi picked up his injury against Atletico Madrid in midweek | VÍCTOR SALGADO - FCB

FC Barcelona spokesman Josep Vives has informed that the Argentine Football Association has apologised to the club for the national team manager’s comments made on Leo Messi’s injury.

“The AFA has contacted Barça to express its apology for the comments made by the manager in relation to the injury of Leo Messi,” said Vives.

The communication also insisted that the manager, Eduardo Bauza had no “bad intention” and that the comments were “unfortunate”. Vives went on to say that the AFA, and Barça, express their keenness to “work so that Leo Messi recuperates as quickly as possible because, as Luis Enrique said, “Messi is a global ambassador for football”.

Vives: “There is no pact with Suárez”

On another matter, Vives cleared up a story that had appeared in the Uruguayan media that claimed that there was a pact between FC Barcelona and the Uruguayan Football Association to allow Luis Suárez to miss one of the upcoming international matches. “These rumours are completely false; there is absolutely no pact involving Suárez. If his national team manager calls him up and he is fit to play, he will do so as normal,” Vives confirmed.

Barça in disagreement with reopening of DIS case

FC Barcelona expresses its disagreement with the reasoning for the decision of the High Court to continue the process against Neymar, Neymar Jr., Sandro Rosell, Santos FC and FC Barcelona in the DIS case.

The investigating judge, who had initially agreed to dismiss the case of all those investigated must now reopen the case and hold a trial. In this trial, FC Barcelona has always maintained the innocence of all investigated.
