Tyrese Rice came to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2016 after leaving Russian club Khimki, where he played since 2014.

A Richmond, Virginia native, Rice played NCAA ball at Boston College from 2005 to 2009. From there he moved overseas, where he played for Panionios in Greece (2009-10) and Artland in Germany (2010-11).

The following season, Rice played for Lietuvos rytas in Lithuania (2011-12), before returning to Germany to play for Bayern Munich (2012-13).

Rice's breakout occurred with Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he won the 2013/14 Euroleague and was named Final Four MVP. Then came his stint at Khimki, where he won the Eurocup championship and both the regular season and Finals MVP awards.

Rice signed with FC Barcelona on 26 July 2016, thus becoming the second new signing, after Víctor Claver, of the Georgios Bartzokas era.
