Stratos Perperoglou signed for Barça at the start of the 2015/16 season. He was born in Drama (Greece) and came through the ranks at Ilisiakos. He debuted in the Greek League for the modest Athens club in 2002-03.

At the end of 2003-04 he signed for Panionios before in the summer of 2007 joining Greek giants Panathinaikos. In his five season with the club he won the Euroleague on two occasions, in 2009 and 2011. 

In the 2012/13 season he moved to big rivals Olympiacos, where he won another Euroleague (2013), beating Real Madrid in the final. The season before joining Barça was spent with Anadolu Efes of Istanbul. 

Technical profile

Stratos Perperoglou is an experienced team player who has won many trophies around Europe. His vast knowledge is of great use to coach Xavi Pascual.

In thirteen seasons as a professional, Perperoglou has never been a high scorer, but is the perfect complement to the players around him players, a fine defender, and offers the kind of intangible benefits that coaches always appreciate.
