Ricky Rubio (Minnesota).

Ricky Rubio, Barça Regal player in the previous two seasons, made a notable debut in the NBA this Monday. Despite Minnesota’s loss to Oklahoma (100-104), the Catalan point guard played a fantastic game: 6 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in 26 minutes on the court. Furthermore, he didn’t lose the ball once.

He was key in the Timberwolves’ improved play and the fans were visibly pleased with his passing skills. Oklahoma’s star, Kevin Duran (33 points), made sure that Ricky’s NBA debut didn’t end with a victory, however.

The Gasol brothers: good stats but both lose

The Gasol brothers started off the season with great stats, but both the teams they play for lost. Pau Gasol’s Lakers have racked up two defeats so far this season. The second came early Tuesday morning against Sacramento (100-91). The ex-Barça player finished the game with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. His brother, Marc, was also out of luck. Despite his 13 points, 6 rebound and 3 assists, Memphis fell to San Antonio (95-82).
