Barça's 8-goal output against Huesca is nothing new

Tha Catalans put up eight against Osasuna in the 2011/12 season under Pep Guardiola

After Barça beat Huesca 8-2 on Sunday at Camp Nou, many people's thoughts began to search for a precedent in which the Catalans lit up the scoreboard in a similar manner.

And the truth is, one need not go too far back in time to find a day when Barça bagged eight goals in a single game. In week four of the 2011/12 season, Barça, led by then-manager Pep Guardiola, netted eight goals at Camp Nou against Osasuna, while surrenduring exactly zero.

Leo Messi led the way that day with three goals, while David Villa chipped in with a brace. Cesc Fàbregas and Xavi grabbed one each as well, while another came courtesy of an Osasuna own-goal.

See the video and take a look back in time at a historic day!
