Without time to rest after the demanding game at Mestalla, FC Barcelona’s players returned to work on Monday at the Ciutat Esportiva. A recovery session was the order of the day, on pitch number three, but minds have already turned to the next match: the return of the Cup against Murcia.
Ernesto Valverde and his coaching staff had some of the first team available, but Sergio, Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Jordi Alba and Umtiti were absent, given a rest until Wednesday. The group was completed by J.Cuenca, Vitinho, Cardona, David Costas, Aleñá, O.Busquets and A.Ortolá, of Barça B. Dembélé and Rafinha also continued with their own recovery.
The last session before the Murcia game takes place on Tuesday. Prior to training, Ernesto Valverde will appear at a press conference to discuss current Barça news and the Cup confrontation at the Camp Nou, a game which should rubber-stamp the Blaugrana’s passage through to the next round after the 0-3 victory in the first leg.
