A training session with the Spanish Super Cup in mind

After enjoying a day off, FC Barcelona's first-team returned to training with one eye on the first official match of the 2017/18 season, the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. Ernesto Valverde put all of his available players through their paces with Ezkieta and Aleñá, from Barça B, also joining in with the session.

Held on the Tito Vilanova pitch, André Gomes worked normally with the group but captain, Andrés Iniesta, didn’t train with permission from the coach.

The team will return to training on Friday at 09:30am CET, behind closed doors at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
