The squad took off from El Prat airport at 11.15 and landed in the capital at 12 noon

FC Barcelona left El Prat airport at around 11.15am on Saturday morning and landed in Madrid at 12 noon, ready to face a demanding test against Atlético Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano (8.45pm CET).

President Josep Maria Bartomeu was at the head of the traveling party and was accompanied by the sport vice president Jordi Mestre; the manager and commissioner of Espai Barça, Jordi Moix; the CEO of the Club, Òscar Grau; the head of International Institutional and Sports Relations, Guillermo Amor, and the first team.

Ernesto Valverde has taken 18 players to the Spanish capital and they will be looking to match Barça’s best La Liga start in history. Paco Alcácer, Thomas Vermaelen and Aleix Vidal have been left out of the squad, while Rafinha, Ousmane Dembélé and Arda Turan continue to recover from their injuries.
