Ernesto Valverde was philosophical about Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo at Camp Nou. “Two points have slipped away from us. They started better and we found it difficult to get going but then we got ourselves together. After the equaliser we could have scored a third,” said the Barça coach in his post-game press conference. He added: “We generated enough chances to have taken all three points.”

The downside of the visit of Juan Carlos Unzué’s side was the injury to Samuel Umtiti in the build up to Celta’s second goal. “We lose an important player for us but we will have to wait for the medical tests to know the exact extent of the injury. Circumstances like this can come about and you have to face up to it,” concluded Valverde.
