RIVAL WATCH: Juve draw with Napoli, Sevilla stumble, Madrid win

Barça's Champions League quarter-final opponents tie in the big Serie A game of the weekend while the upcoming league rivals are held to a goalless home draw

FC Barcelona's Champions League quarter-final opponents Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw in the big Serie A game of the weekend away at Napoli.

The league leaders got off to a flyer as Sami Khedira gave them the opener after just six minutes, reacting quickest to pounce on the rebound from close range.

However, Napoli captain Marek Hamsik levelled things up on the hour-mark, tucking away an assist from Dries Mertens. The result means Roma close the gap on Juve to six points at the top of the table.

Sevilla unable to break down Sporting

Barça take on Sevilla at the Camp Nou on Wednesday but the Andalusians enter the match in uncharacteristically bad form. Jorge Sampaoli's men are now winless in their last five games in all competitions after being unable to break down Sporting in front of their own supporters, despite dominating for large parts of the game. Sevilla are now joint-third with Atlético Madrid.

Real Madrid win at home

Zinedine Zidane's side held their spot at the top of the table with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Alavés. Karim Benzema opened the scoring in the first half and the victory was sealed through late goals from Isco and Nacho.
