Thursday has been a day that Lucas Digne will never forget. The young French international spent his first day as an FC Barcelona player, with it all starting bright and early in the morning with his medical tests, first in Barcelona Hospital and then at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training facility.

After that, it was off to the Camp Nou, where he was joined by his family as he signed his five-year contract with the Liga and Copa del Rey champions. He stepped out of the offices and onto the terraces to pose, now fully decked out in Barça kit, for photos with the club president Josep Maria Bartomeu, the vice-president for sport Jordi Mestre, and first team technical secretary Robert Fernández. From there, it was down to the pitch to be paraded before the adoring fans – where he was able to partake in the traditional display of his juggling skills for the cameras.

Lucas Digne still had one more item on his itinerary – his first media conference as an FCB player. Speaking of being at “the best club in the world” and “the start of a big adventure” it goes without saying that the former PSG defender, who spent last season on at loan at AS Roma, is clearly looking forward to the experience of playing for the Catalan giants. And we’re looking forward to seeing him play for Barça!

It won’t be long before we get the chance to just that, but before that the Euro 2016 finalist is going to be getting a well-deserved holiday. In the meantime, here’s a 100 second video of the day that the Camp Nou got a closer look at its new idol - Lucas Digne.
