Ter Stegen training at Barça before leaving to meet up with the Mannschaft | MIGUEL RUIZ - FCB

Tuesday brings the final set of World Cup qualifiers of the current international break, with FC Barcelona interest in three games – one in Europe and the other two in South America (all kick-offs local time)

Germany v Northern Ireland

Stadium Hanover, Germany. Tuesday, 11 October, 8.45pm – World Cup Qualifier

Goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen sat out Germany’s 3-0 win against the Czech Republic on Saturday, a result which leaves the world champions top of their group with two wins out of two. Tonight they host Northern Ireland, the same side that they beat 1-0 at Euro 2016 and who have also got their qualifying campaign off to a strong start. Stadium Hanover, Germany. Tuesday, 11 October, 8.45pm – World Cup Qualifier

Colombia v Uruguay

Metropolitano Roberto Melendez. Barranquilla, Colombia. Tuesday, 11 October. 3.30pm – World Cup Qualifier

After beating Venezuela’s 3-0, Luis Suárez’s Uruguay are still top of the pile in what is developing into a fascinating contest in the Conmebol zone, but the trip to fourth placed Colombia is one of the trickiest on the gruelling 18-match schedule.  After providing two assists but not scoring himself last Friday, the game presents the Barça striker with another chance to match Hernán Crespo’s record of 19 career goals in South American qualifying.

Argentina v Paraguay

Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. Córdoba, Argentina. Tuesday, 11 October, 8.30pm – World Cup Qualifier

Argentina, meanwhile, have dropped out of the four direct qualification berths following a 2-2 draw in Peru. With Javier Mascherano expected to captain the side, they now have the chance to make up ground at home to the team immediately below them in the table: Paraguay.

The injured Leo Messi is of course absent for that one, while second placed Brazil will also have to make do without a member of the Barça trident as they visit Venezuela. Neymar Jr is suspended after receiving a yellow card in the 5-0 defeat of Bolivia and has returned home early.
