FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has spoken about a number of subjects regarding the team and particularly the recent defeat in Manchester and the upcoming visit to Sevilla.

“We have to put that loss behind us quickly” he says in an interview with radio station RAC1. “We have another game on Sunday and we must to be strong. Sevilla are always a difficult opponent and we’ll need to be at our best to beat them.”

"We played very well in the first half, but these things happen” he said in reference to the Champions League game last Tuesday. “We wanted to control the ball, create chances and score. We did that, but we wanted more and we got killed on the counter attack. We aren’t machines. We do get it wrong sometimes. But we need to lift up our heads, and that’s what we’ll always try to do.”

On a more personal note, the German comments that “I always wanted to stay here. That was always my aim and also that of the club. And I’m happy with the decision.”

And he also spoke a little about his early days as a footballer. “I learned to play with my feet a long time ago” he says. “And I’ve always liked to use them both the same. I wanted to learn to use my left foot better. And I still keep trying to get better every day.”
