Appeal against Neymar's three game ban

Appeal against Neymar's three game ban

The disciplinary committee has decided to hand the Brazilian a three game ban in the league after he was shown two yellow cards against Málaga last Saturday

FC Barcelona will put forward evidence to the Appeals Committee regarding the three game ban handed to Neymar.

During the game against Málaga referee Gil Manzano dismissed the Brazilian with two yellow card. According to the referee’s report, Neymar received the first caution for “not respecting the regulatory distance at a free kick after having been warned previously.” The second booking was due to “knocking over an opponent in a challenge for the ball.” Furthermore, Gil Manzano also stated in the report that Neymar “after being dismissed and before heading for the players’ tunnel, applauded in the direction of the fourth official.”

For that reason, the disciplinary committee has decided to ban Neymar for three matches; one of the sending off and two for applauding.
