“For us it is a unique opportunity.” That is how Athletic coach Ernesto Valverde defined the Spanish Cup final between his team and Barça that will be played on Saturday at Camp Nou. On the subject of playing on blaugrana territory, the Basque coach was clear: “I am of no doubt that it is one of the most difficult challenges facing Athletic Club in its history.”

In the Ricard Maxenchs press room, Valverde continued: “In any other place it would have been difficult against Barça. The feeling of it being a challenge has grown due to playing at Camp Nou.” It is for that reason that he believes: “We need to make few mistakes because it is a one off game and we need to make the most of our chances.”
