The U19s held on for three big points | PACO LARGO - FCB

FC Barcelona U19 clinched a precious three points against Girona by a solitary goal scored by Jeremy Guillemenot in the first half.

Barça had the better of the early exchanges with Lee threatening within the first ten minutes with a shot from inside the area which had to be dealt with by the opposing keeper.

After plenty of perseverance, the opener came through Guillemenot on 29 minutes who guided the ball beyond Alberto Román. In the second half, Barça maintained possession, but it was Girona who looked more likely to score the next goal as they had plenty of clear chances.

Sergio Cabellero squandered a good opportunity for the hosts with a close range before Josep in the Barça goal made a point blank save to keep the score in his side’s favour.

Barça dug in deep but did enough to hold onto their one-goal lead through to the end for an important win on a tough ground.
