Barça B’s Jose Arnaiz is one of the four reserve team members called up by Ernesto Valverde for Tuesday’s Copa del Rey game at Murcia (9.30pm CET).

The 22-year-old from Toledo has made a huge impression at the club since signing from Real Valladolid in the summer.

Although he is primarily a left-winger, manager Gerard Lopez has been experimenting with him in different roles, including midfield and as a second striker, and the player has responded brilliantly to whatever is asked of him.

He’s scored four goals in 699 minutes of football this term, and the reward is his first ever appearance in a first team squad.

His colleagues Adrià Ortolá, Marc Cucurella and Carles Aleñá are also in the side tonight, but it is not a new experience for any of them.
