A victory to end 2025, as FC Barcelona ran out comfortable winners against Cerdanyola CH (7-0). Pablo Álvarez (3), Sergi Llorca, Ignacio Alabart, Xavi Barroso and Ferran Font were the goalscorers at the Palau Blaugrana. This latest win for Ricard Ares' side sees them leading the league with 10 victories.

Good start

Ignacio Alabart and Pablo Álvarez got this Barça v Cerdanyola game off to the best possible start, the Argentinian forward making it 1-0 early on, adding to the great atmosphere after Xavi Barroso received the award for best player in the OK Liga in November ahead of the game.  

The lead was doubled by Sergi Llorca after six minutes who made it 2-0 and the visitors limited response in attack came up against an unbeatable Carles Grau. There was another goal before half time, as Pablo Álvarez made it 3-0 from a Xavi Barroso assist. 

Barroso and Álvarez reach 10 league goals

Carles Grau continued to make saves after Cerdanyola started to make inroads in attack, and the blaugranes struck again, Xavi Barroso looking to become outright leader for goals for Barça in the OK Liga when he made it 4-0 (min 31). The home side were very much in control and Ignacio Alabart pretty much sealed the win once it was 5-0.

There was still more to come though, as one of the top scorers this season in Ferran Font made it nine goals and 6-0 on the day, and there was time for Pablo Álvarez to make it 7-0, his hat-trick also meaning he has ten goals so far in the league, completing a resounding victory.

So, 2025 ends on a positive note, as FC Barcelona end the year in first place in the OK Liga with 10 wins. Next up, a visit to Madrid to play Adiss Hockey Rivas on 4 January (12.15pm CET). That will bring the first set of matches to an end and decide which eight teams play in the Copa del Rey. Time to recharge the batteries in the meantime and come back refreshed and ready in 2026.
