Barça had to work hard to secure the win they needed in the Ateneu Agrícola de Sant Sadurní against Noia in a game that ended 2-2 in normal time, the blaugranes taking a 4-2 victory in extra time.
A frenetic start from both sides saw chances but no goals. Then, in the space of two minutes, Pau Bargalló struck twice in the first half to hand Barça a 2-0 lead and seemingly a comfortable path to the final.
However, after the break Noia fought back and Martí Gabarró, on loan from Barça, struck twice in two minutes to level the game up.
The second half continued with chances but no goal so the contest went into extra time. The stalemate continued until 79 seconds from the end Ignacio Alabart made it 3-2 to the blaugranes after he found himself unmarked in the box. Sacrificing their keeper, Noia conceded again in the dying seconds with João Rodrigues making the final score 4-2 to the blaugranes.
Barça's opponents in the league play off final will be Liceo and the best of five tie will start with game one on Thursday 8 June at 8.45pm CEST in the Palau Blaugrana.
