The Barça roller hockey side returned to winning ways after defeat in Europe in midweek with a 5-1 win over Calafell in the OK League. Goals from João Rodrigues (3), Sergi Panadero and Helder Nunes handed Edu Castro's side the win in a game which also saw a debut for Gaby Cairo.
Unexpected start
The game got off to an difficult start for the blaugranes with Calafell taking the lead in the first minute through Jordi Ferrer. Barça fought back and Pau Bargalló hit the woodwork before Sergi Panadero levelled things up at 1-1 on 13 minutes.
That was how the scores stayed until half time but just minutes into the second half Bargalló provided João Rodrigues with a chance to make it 2-1 which the Portuguese forward gladly accepted.
Edu Castro's team then took control of the contest with Rodrigues getting a second to make it 3-1 on 34 minutes. Helder Nunes added a fourth before his countryman João completed a hat-trick to put the blaugranes 5-1 up.
There was still time for Gaby Cairo to make his debut for the first team, wearing the same number 6 jersey made famous by his father, in their 21st win of the season in the OK League.
