Liceo 2-4 Barça: Copa del Rey champions!

Three days of roller hockey came to end with Barça lifting the Copa del Rey trophy for the 25th time in the section's history. The tournament took place in Calafell and the blaugranes had to overcome a tough Liceo side in the final 4-2 with goals from Sergi Panadero, Bargalló and two from João Rodrigues handed them the title once again. 

Dynamic start

Despite silverware being at stake, both Barça and Liceo came out in the final on the attack. Both sides had chances early on but it was the blaugranes who opened the scoring, João Rodrigues firing home from a Bargalló pass on three minutes. 

Barça keeper Sergi Fernández saved a penalty from Carballeira before Panadero added a second on 12 minutes to give Castro's team a 2-0 lead which they maintained until half time. 

The trophy is Barça's 

In the second half the frenetic pace of the first backed off a little yet both sides still created chances. A well executed counter attack from Barça saw Bargalló add a third and take control of the final on 32 minutes. Nine minutes later Rodrigues added his second of the game and Barça's fourth to put the result beyond doubt. 

Neverthless, Liceo did not throw in the towel and Àlex Rodríguez scored twice to put Barça back on their guard. In the end, the blaugranes were able to protect their lead in the last few minutes and hold on for a memorable victory and their 25th Copa del Rey title. Congratulations, Champions!
