FC Barcelona 8-1 Noia Freixenet: Solid at the top

Barça are in emphatic form right now and had little trouble seeing off Noia Freixenet to the tune on an 8-1 win. The unbeaten leaders will thus be heading into the World Cup break with smiles on their faces. The first half of this game was reasonably competitive, including a bizarre eighth minute that saw the first three goals of the game being scored in rapid succession, first Barça, then Noia and then Barça again.

Barça had extended their lead by the break, and after it the game became a one-sided blitz of the opposition, with the eight goals eventually coming coutesy of Pau Baraglló (3), João Rodrigues (2), Matias Pascual, Sergi Panadero and Marc Grau.

Before the game, the Palua paid homage to Àlex Ortigosa, Miki Escala, Eloy Megino and Carles Casas, who recently helped Spain to the European U17 Championship title

There will be no further OK Liga action until after the World Cup on Wednesday 23 November, when Barça will be the guests at Riazor.
