Barça Lassa lose out late to CSKA Moscow:

A final quarter charge leads to a 76-84 defeat to the Russian team

Barça Lassa lost out to CSKA Moscow 76-84 in a close Euroleague contest, in which the final minutes proved decisive. The result leaves the team with an 11-9 record in Europe's top club competition this season.

CSKA showed early accuracy from outside in the first quarter and established an early advantage, while Barça Lassa mixed up their offense to level. After a 20-20 first period, in the second the Blaugrana upped their defense in an attempt to limit the clinical attack of their Russian rivals. At the halftime break the score was still close, at 41-44.

Strong second half start goes unrewarded

In the third period Barça Lassa broke away, establishing a 10-point lead at one point. Unfortunately, CSKA's De Colo and Kurbanov led a fightback that included a 2-13 partial, putting the home team behind once more (61-63).

CSKA accuracy proves decisive

The game remained even until the final moments, in which CSKA Moscow proved to have too much in the tank and managed to take an 8-point advantage, giving them the win at the Palau Blaugrana. Barça Lassa's top scorer was Victor Claver, with 17 points, but his team could not quite avoide the 76-84 defeat.
