Tribute to Ranko Zeravica

As well as honouring the legendary coach, the club is also supporting his family with the construction of a museum in the town of Novo Milosevo (Serbia)

Next Sunday 27 January during the build-up to the game with Unicaja in the Liga Endesa ante el Unicaja, FC Barcelona will be paying tribute to Ranko Zeravica.

It’s much more than that though, because the club is also supporting the museum that legendary coach and Hall of Famer’s widow and family are setting up in the town of Novo Milosevo, Serbia.

The people involved include current Barça Lassa first team coach Svetislav Pesic, and three former players who all had very close relationships with the former Barcelona coach: Manolo Flores, Nacho Solozábal and Juan Antonio San Epifanio 'Epi'.

Key figure

Although Zeravica was only manager at FCB for two seasons (1974-76), he played a huge role in modernising the club’s basketball section, and it was under him that the likes of Epi, Solozábal, De la Cruz and Sibilio all made their first team debuts.
