Barça Women chalked up their sixth consecutive victory in the league against EDF Logroño (2-0), thanks to goals from Maria León and Claudia Pina. The Blaugrana dominated the game from the start despite a solid defence from the visitors.
The visitors made it difficult for Barça to penetrate in the early stages, though it was the hosts who had the bulk of possession. Alexia Putellas and Patri Guijarro had already gone close before a magnificent corner from Marta Torrejón found María Léon to make it 1-0.
In the second half, Barça’s persistence eventually brought further reward, Claudia Pina adding a second goal three minutes from time. Sandra Paños managed to keep a clean sheet thanks to a superb stop from the visitors’ lightning-fast striker, Barbra.
