Kheira Hamraoui is one of several new additions to the Barça Women squad this season and in an interview with the Club’s official media during the current pre-season, the midfielder confessed her excitement at this latest challenge in her career. “Barça is a great club, the best in Spain and I want to win trophies with the women’s team. The objective is to win the Champions League and the league and we will fight in every competition,” said Hamraoui. The new signing is settling in well thanks to the efforts of her team mates: “At the beginning it was tricky due to the language but it’s going really well and the players have given me a great welcome.”
The midfielder was European champions twice in the last two seasons with Olympique Lyonnais and she arrives determined to do what she can to help the team: “I can bring my physical presence, my shooting and my strength out on the field.” Hailing from the city of Lille in the north of France, the new Barça player is looking forward to life in Barcelona: “Even though I don’t know it that well, everyone has told me great things about the city and I am sure I will love living here.”
