Four summer signings attend Supporters Group congress
The quartet of recent arrivals were able to meet some of the club's most dedicated fans firsthand at the annual official event
Ahead of the Joan Gamper Trophy Game, FC Barcelona's summer signings were present at the 39th annual Supporters Group Congress on Wednesday afternoon. Arthur, Lenglet, Malcom and Arturo Vidal addressed the fans at the event.
First to speak was the most recent signing, and Vidal thanked those in attendance for the great welcome he has received in the short time since he arrived in Barcelona. Lenglet added that he hopes that the team "have a great season and win many trophies," as well as expressing his desire to provide the fans with plenty to be happy about.
Arthur Melo reiterated that he is "very fortunate to be playing for FC Barcelona," and that "we will give everything we have to win as many trophies as possible."
Malcom expressed his happiness at having joined the club, and closed with the traditional rallying cry of "Visca el Barça i Visca Catalunya."
Abidal: “The signings will help us to achieve all the trophies that we want"
Technical Secretary Eric Abidal and assistant Ramon Planes also went to the event in their new roles at the club, and the former stated that the new incorporations were going to strengthen the squad yet further. "They will help us to achieve all the trophies that we want," he told those present.
