Ronaldinho's magic brings to an end Barça's week in NY

The Brazilian meets fans at Niketown to draw the curtain on the series of events to mark the opening of FC Barcelona's office in the USA

The former blaugrana and Barça legend Ronaldinho took part on Wednesday in the final event planned to coincide with the opening of the FC Barcelona office in New York, bringing a smile to the faces of hundreds of fans as he made himself available for photos and signed autographs, never once losing his trademark grin. The venue was Niketown, the flagship store for Nike in Manhattan. Ronaldinho was accompanied by Jordi Cardoner, the Club’s first vice president.

The fans were made aware of the chance to see the Brazilian via social networks and they made their way to 5th Avenue with the hope of getting their shirt stamped and ‘receiving a surprise visit from a legend’.

The rumours that it would be Ronaldinho were rife and when the former Barça player arrived at Niketown, there were already dozens of fans waiting for him, hoping for a photo or an autograph.

Once inside, Ronaldinho had a look around the store, sharing his time with the fans and getting a shirt from the current season 2016/2017 stamped with number 10 and his name.

Dozens of people were also waiting for the charismatic player, the final image on 5th Avenue in the heart of New York to bring to an end the series of events to mark Barça’s arrival in the city.
