When FC Barcelona travel to take on Valencia on Saturday, it will be a particularly special game for one individual in the blaugrana ranks.
Paco Alcácer wore the captain’s armband at Mestalla until this past summer when he joined Barça in a big-money switch.
“Mestalla is a very tough place for the opposition,” said the striker who also praised Valencia by saying they are “a very difficult side”.
In the first game of new boss Cesare Prandelli, Valencia got off to a winning start against Sporting Gijón, and Alcácer noted that “we must give 100% in order to win”.
The Valencia fans always turn up in huge numbers when the Catalans are in town, as Alcácer stated that “playing against Barça is always an added motivation”.
