When the registration period for the 2016 Sports Technology Symposium officially expired at 6.00pm CET on Thursday, November 3, over 500 professionals had registered for the second annual event, which is being hosted by Futbol Club Barcelona on 10 and 11 November.
After the 2015 Symposium reached a total attendance of 320, this year’s edition will see almost double that number.
Among those expected to be on hand are representatives from some of the world’s biggest teams, as well as professionals from global firms like T-Systems, Telefónica and Facebook, among others.
This year’s event has an expanded focus, and is providing a global forum to discuss the topics of technology and data analysis in relation to the business of sports and sports performance.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to get the official app of the Symposium, a must-have networking and information tool that can be downloaded for free on the iOS App Store and Android's Google Play store.
