LaLiga Promises Final: FC Barcelona 6-1 Atlético Madrid

There's only one team in it as Barça storm to victory and retain the title won twelve months ago in Miami

The Barça U14B team have beaten Atlético Madrid 6-1 in the final to win the LaLiga Promises trophy in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife. Goals from Xavi Planas (2), Pol Muñoz and Toni Caravana, plus own goals from Jorge and Joao brought a brilliant win for Sergi Milà and his team to retain the title won a year ago in Miami.

Atlético reached the final after beating Sporting Gijón 4-1 in their semi, while the Catalans had progressed thanks to a 2-0 defeat of Real Madrid.

Xavi Planas opened the scoring with a fine solo goal on five minutes, and by the time the same player was scoring on the stroke of half-time, the win was already looking secure with Barça 4-0 up.

The blaugrana domination continued after the break, adding two further goals before Alejandro nabbed a late consolation for the red-and-whites at the very end. Far too little and far too late. There could be no arguing that Barça were more than worthy winners of the coveted trophy. Well done, boys!
