Sergi Roberto: We need to keep playing like this

FC Barcelona have beaten Osasuna 3-0 at El Sadar and Sergi Roberto gives us his opinion on a much needed win for the blaugranas: “In the first half, the chances we had didn't end up in the back of the net but in the second half the opening goal put us at ease and allowed us to play better.” Moreover, Roberto recognised the team's positive attitude on the pitch, saying: “It is important that we are patient, keep playing and eventually we will find space against teams who play so defensively.”

The victory, coming after the Clásico draw, was an important one. “The team needed this win, we knew we had to bounce back” stated Sergi. Even though Real Madrid remain top of La Liga, the Barça player is optimistic: “We have to think about ourselves and keep winning games as the league leader will drop points and we need to take advantage when they do.”

Luis Suárez also spoke to the media following the Uruguayan's 59th minute opening goal from a Jordi Alba assist. Regarding the strike, he said: “We had lots of chances and we knew that once we got the first the game would open up. Luckily it arrived in time and we were able to push on.” Concerning the battle for the league title he was in a confident mood: “We are Barça and are in with a good chance of winning the league and we will give everything to achieve our goal.”
