Five great displays of fair play from FC Barcelona

After the U14B side's recent Laureus Award, we take a look back at other past sporting gestures carried out by the club's various teams

FC Barcelona have always been known for their sportsmanship, respect for the opposition and fair play in all of the sporting categories the club competes in.

The compilation above highlights various moments in which Barça have demonstrated their strong ethics in recent years.

They include the famous gesture from captain Carles Puyol, who passed on the honour of lifting the Champions League trophy to teammate Eric Abidal who had recently gone through a liver tumor operation.

It also includes the time the junior team back in 2006/07 allowed Espanyol to score as they had previously done so with an injured player on the ground.

Recently, the U14B side won a Laureus Award for the way in which they consoled their opposition after winning a tournament in Japan.

And then there is Leo Messi who, in the recent game against Osasuna, told the referee that he had not been fouled when he was on the floor.
