TRAINING: FC Barcelona back at work and preparing for Valencia

After a two-day break, the first team work out at the Ciutat Esportiva, where they are joined by Cardona and Carbonell of Barça B

The FC Barcelona first team were back at work on Thursday morning after enjoying a thoroughly well-deserved two-day break.

With the batteries re-charged, the next task is to concentrate on the home fixture against Valencia this Sunday at 8.45pm CET, where three points are essential in order to keep up the pressure on Liga leaders Real Madrid going into the international break, when most of the first team squad will be travelling to join their national teams for World Cup qualifiers.

Luis Enrique had all of his available first team members with him on a sunny morning at the Ciutat Esportiva, while also calling upon Cardona and Carbonell of the reserves.

The team will train at the same time and place on Friday (11.00am CET), after which they’ll be keen to catch the Champions League quarter final draw and find out which of the seven potential opponents they’ll be meeting next.

The final training session before Sunday’s game will be on Saturday morning, to be followed by Luis Enrique’s traditional pre-match media conference.
