Ter Stegen rallies support for women's league title showdown on Saturday

Barça face co-leaders Atlético Madrid in the Miniestadi at 5.15pm CET and the German stopper and his counterpart from the women's team, Sandra Paños, are calling on fans to be there - it's free entrance!

Following the Friday training session at the Ciutat Esportiva, the men’s and women’s first team goalkeepers, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Sandra Paños met up for a chat about their respective title run-ins.

The men have just two games to go in LaLiga, which they need to win while hoping that Real Madrid slip up somewhere along the way. The women are in a similarly right situation. Also with two fixtures left, they’re neck-and-neck at the top of the championship table with Atlético Madrid.

And Saturday is showdown time for the ladies in the Miniestadi, with the two leaders going head-to-end in what a game that will practically decide which of the two will be inheriting the crown from last year’s winners Athletic Bilbao.

The crunch game kicks off at 5.15pm CET, and in the video above the German stopper has a message for his female colleagues: “This Saturday, we’re all with you, Força Barça!”

And just in case you don’t understand the bit at the end of the video, yes ‘entrada gratuita’ does mean ‘free entrance’. So if you are in Barcelona this weekend there can be no excuses … see you in the Miniestadi – the 15,276 seater stadium located just across the road from the Camp Nou!
