Movistar Inter 4-2 FC Barcelona Lassa: Game one slips away in overtime

The Catalans deserve a lot more than they get in Madrid in the opening game of what's going to be a fascinating final series

There’s still a long way to go. Barça were beaten in game one of the best-of-five LNFS final series, but the game showed just how tightly matched these two teams are.

Inter and Barça took an intrepid game into injury time, after Léo Santana and Lozano had forced the additional period.

But Carlos Ortiz then broke the deadlock and Pola made it 4-2 just before the final whistle.

It was a cruel blow for a Barça team that looked to be the superior outfit, but at the end of the day, it’s the team that gets the most goals that counts. Especially in the first half, far too many chances went begging – but there will be a chance to make amends in game two on Saturday.
