The full-back believes his team is looking good at the start of preseason and said the team produced 'two very good halves' against Juventus
Jordi Alba is feeling good about the start of FC Barcelona’s preseason. The full-back spoke about how happy he is from the Red Bull Facility in New Jersey. “The players have absolute confidence in the coaching staff. The other day we did very well against Juventus, a team who made things very difficult for us last year”, he stated.
On the subject of the win over the Italian champions, he added: “The whole team played well in both halves. Now it is time to get up to speed as quickly as possible and start the new season with enthusiasm.”
The defender spoke glowingly about the new coach, Ernesto Valverde: “He is doing a great job, he is calm and has very clear ideas. We are taking on board what the coaching staff want us to do step by step.”
On the Neymar Jr rumours of a move to PSG, Jordi Alba made his feelings clear: “I hope he stays with us for many more years.” When asked about the photo Gerard Piqué uploaded to Instagram in which he said ‘He is staying’, Alba said: “I hope it isn’t one of Piqué’s jokes.”
