A very special opening day fixture from the inside
The Club's cameras recorded footage of the pre-game acitivities that took place in tribute to the victimes of the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils
It was not an easy day at Camp Nou. The terrorist attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils had struck right at the heart of Catalonia, putting into perspective Barça’s league debut against Betis. Therefore, the Club decided to pay tribute to the victims of Thursday’s events in a variety of ways. Flags flew at half mast, the Barça players wore the name of the city ‘Barcelona’ on their shirts in place of their names and there was an emotional minute’s silence before the game. All of this was caught by the Club’s cameras in the video you can see above, a document to a very special opening day fixture.
