Da Vinci Code author Dan Brown visits Camp Nou

The best-selling writer visited Barça’s home and spent time at the Club’s stadium

Taking advantage of being in the city promoting his latest book Origin, world famous author Dan Brown found time to fit in a visit to Camp Nou to his busy agenda. Board member Jordi Mestre accompanied Brown on his tour of the blaugrana as did Jordi Cardoner, vice president of the Social Area, who took time to explain to the writer the Club’s long and unique history.

Brown, a famous fan of NFL team the New England Patriots, was taken aback by the grandeur of Barça’s stadium and explained that he is watches football matches regularly but without being an expert on the European game.

Nevertheless, he did promise to take in a match the next time he was in town to see the magic of Leo Messi and co. first hand. On Saturday his European promotional tour continues in Amsterdam, Holland where he will also be giving conferences.

Barça connection

The author of famous novels such as The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons and The Lost Symbol has set part of his latest work Origen in the city of Barcelona and its hero, Professor Robert Langdon, has an experience with Camp Nou in the novel.
