The FC Barcelona pair joined up with the rest of the squad for Wednesday's training session, in preparation for the game against Leganés
Wednesday training at the Ciutat Esportiva saw the return of Leo Messi and Ivan Rakitic, following their international commitments. The pair joined up with the group in preparation for this Saturday's game against Leganés, on Matchday 12 of the LaLiga season.
Messi had featured for Argentina in a friendly against Russia, and was rested for his country's other fixture against Nigeria. Rakitic helped Croatia get through to the 2018 World Cup, as they overcame Greece 4-1 over two legs in their playoff game.
The Wednesday morning session was the third of the season, with all available players training under the watchful eye of Ernesto Valverde. Barça B players Carles Aleñá, Ortolá, Varo and Arnaiz also trained at the Tito Vilanova pitch.
FC Barcelona continue to lead the way in LaLiga, and are ready to keep up their good form when they travel to Butarque this weekend. The game against Leganés kicks off at 4:15pm.
