Ernesto Valverde has summoned a total of 18 players to travel to Madrid for the match on Saturday (4.15pm CET)
After 14 days since their last game (a 2-1 win against Sevilla), Barça visit one of the most difficult grounds in the League. The blaugranes face Leganés on Matchday 12 at Butarque, where the hosts have earned eight points out of a possible 15 and have only conceded two goals in one of the five games played there.
For this match, Ernesto Valverde has called a total of 18 players into the squad: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Semedo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis Suárez, Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Paulinho, Deulofeu, Paco Alcácer, Jordi Alba, Digne, Aleix Vidal (who has received medical discharge), Umtiti and Vermaelen. It should be noted that Gerard Piqué won’t travel with the team because of a personal matter. He will join the group in Madrid early on Saturday. In addition, Dembélé, Rafinha, Arda Turan, Sergi Roberto, André Gomes and Javier Mascherano remain on the injury list.
Before the squad was made public, all available first team players trained on the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, in the final session before traveling to Madrid. Alberto Varo, from Barça B., also joined in.
