Last Sunday, 12 June, the Agrupació de Penyes de Futbol del FC Barcelona brought its sporting season to a close with the finals of its tournaments at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. The teams representing the Association’s 15 member penyes enjoyed an unforgettable day at this iconic venue, where the champions were decided in the three age categories (boys and girls).

After a series of exciting matches, the winners of this year’s edition were:

  • 39th U10 edition: Penya Barcelonista Cinc Copes
    45th U12 edition: Agrupació Barcelonista Penya Anguera
  • 2nd U14 girls edition: SE Ateneu Penya Blaugrana Igualada
  • 58th U14 boys edition: Agrupació Barcelonista Penya Anguera.

José Mari Bakero, former Barça player and member of the FC Barcelona Veterans Association, Enric Bosch, Head of the Penyes Department, and Lluís Monràs, President of the Agrupació de Penyes, presented the trophies to the winners and medals to all participants. A strong institutional representation was also in attendance, headed by José Ignacio Aparicio, Montserrat Canas, Mayor of Cervelló, and Daniel Parra, delegate of the Catalan Football Federation, together with sub-delegate Sergio Milan, who watched as the boys and girls enjoyed this festive occasion.

    The Agrupació de Penyes de Futbol del FC Barcelona was founded 70 years ago as a result of the member penyes’ commitment to promoting grassroots sport. Over the years, they became one of FC Barcelona’s main talent pools, at a time when the club’s youth football structures were not yet fully established. Among the players who emerged from their teams are Albert Ferrer, Víctor Valdés, Robert Moreno, Marc Guiu and Héctor Fort, all of whom went on to play for Barça’s first team.
