Barça are through to the ACB Final after showing tremendous character to overturn a difficult first half and secure a 76-85 victory, completing a 3-0 series sweep. Tenerife's 14-point lead proved no obstacle, with key contributions from Punter, Clyburn and Willy Hernangómez paving the way to victory.
Tenerife on top in the first half
Punter and Shengelia refused to let Barça sink amid an otherwise disjointed start. La Laguna Tenerife seized the initiative early on, although their lead never stretched beyond six points (14-8, min 5). That margin was small enough for Barça to regain their footing and battle back to level terms. The opening quarter ended all square at 19-19 thanks to the energy of Brizuela and a three-pointer from Parra.
The hosts soon restored their advantage and then extended it to a game-high 14 points at 36-22 (min 15). Barça's offensive and defensive efforts were overwhelmed by Tenerife's momentum, with the islanders looking far sharper at the Santiago Martín. Yet the blaugrana headed into the break with renewed belief after cutting the deficit to 42-34.
Barça respond
The game was turned completely on its head after the interval. Having trailed for almost the entire first half, Xavi Pascual's side emerged from the dressing room determined to react. A 0-9 run put Barça ahead for the first time at 42-43 (min 22), with an inspired Clyburn leading the charge. Greater concentration and improved shooting transformed the visitors and allowed them to match Tenerife's intensity, with the islanders narrowly ahead at the end of the third quarter, 58-56.
Finalists at last
With neither side able to establish control, the final period proved decisive. Willy Hernangómez's impact at both ends of the court, combined with Punter's scoring, helped Barça open up a promising 60-69 lead (min 34). It was the visitors' biggest advantage of the night, and they were not finished yet. Consecutive three-pointers from Clyburn and Parra extended the gap to 68-78 (min 37), silencing the home crowd.
Whenever Tenerife threatened a comeback, Barça had an answer. The victory never looked in serious danger in the closing stages, with the Blaugrana eventually running out 76-85 winners.
The triumph sealed an emphatic 3-0 series victory and booked Barça's place in the ACB Final for the first time in three seasons. The 2025/26 campaign could yet end on a high, although there is still one final hurdle to clear before the confetti can fall.
