The return to the Spotify Camp Nou has also marked the comeback of large pre-match receptions for the men’s first team. This weekend, ahead of the win over Rayo Vallecano, a large number of penyes came to visit.
A new US supporters’ clubs tour
It is becoming a tradition for supporters’ clubs from the United States to organise an annual group trip to experience Barça at home. This year, the fourth edition, the American supporters were able to attend both the match against Newcastle United and the game against Rayo Vallecano, as well as watching the women’s team beat Athletic Club.
Before the Rayo match, they were also received by Gabriel Cid, a member of FC Barcelona’s Social Commission, who welcomed supporters from Dallas, Miami, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Washington, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
Jaén, Japan and Extremadura also represented
Alongside the US groups, penyes from Jaén were also among the standout visitors. Around 60 members made the trip to attend Barça v Rayo, representing a wide range of clubs from across the province.
Travelling from further afield were representatives of PB Japan, who once again enjoyed a memorable victory for Hansi Flick’s side.
To round things off, the Peña Cultural y Recreativa Barcelonista Diego Luna from Extremadura were also welcomed by Gabriel Cid, in what proved to be a fantastic day of camaraderie and Barça spirit.
