Today, the FC Barcelona Electoral Committee and the Electoral Board, which will act during the ongoing electoral process, have been officially constituted. The designated members have formally taken office at an event held in the club’s boardroom in the presence of the Secretary of the Board of Directors, Mr Josep Cubells. The event was also attended by the Members’ Ombudsman, Ramon Estebe, and the Barcelona notary Mr Gerardo Conesa.

Electoral Committee

Mr J. Ignacio Soler-Cabot Serra has been elected President of the Electoral Committee. The other members are Mr Jordi Serra Macià, Mr Gerard Coderch Bastias, Ms Mercè Ibarz Domingo and Mr Antoni Ortega i Bayo.

The Committee is composed of these five FC Barcelona members, all appointed following the draw held before a notary at the Auditori 1899.

From now on, the Electoral Committee’s role will be to supervise and oversee the process until polling day, as well as to review and resolve any claims submitted by members regarding the electoral roll or electoral lists, admit or reject candidacies and formally proclaim them, among other duties.

Consultation of the electoral roll

At the meeting, the Electoral Committee validated the electoral roll with its signature. The roll was presented by the Ombudsman, Ramon Estebe. From tomorrow, Sunday 15 February, until Thursday 19 February, the electoral roll will be available for inspection by members, who may verify their inclusion and submit any claims they deem appropriate regarding omissions or improper inclusions.

Electoral Board

The Electoral Board, the body responsible for overseeing the voting on 15 March, has also been officially constituted with the following members: Miquel Alcon i Salles (President), Rafel Villa i Aledo (Secretary), Guillem Medina Martínez, Josep Solé Molina and Cristina Crusafón Moya.

Of these five members, three were appointed following the draw held on the 10th. As the number of alternates was insufficient to fill all positions, and in accordance with Article 44.3 of the Club Statutes, two were appointed by the Board of Directors.

The Electoral Board’s function is to preside over and supervise the voting process, ensuring that all members are able to exercise their right to vote and, together with the Electoral Committee, to publish the election results.

Notary Gerardo Conesa was responsible for taking the official minutes of the constitution of both the Electoral Committee and the Electoral Board.
