The Penya Barcelonista de Vilalba dels Arcs and the Peña Barcelonista San Miguel de Novés are the two latest additions to the great blaugrana family. FC Barcelona’s Board of Directors granted them official status at its meeting on 22 January, and from now on they will be able to enjoy all the benefits that the club offers to its supporters’ clubs.
A village project with a future focus
In Vilalba dels Arcs, a municipality of just over 600 inhabitants in the Terra Alta region, Barça supporters now have a new home: the Penya Barcelonista de Vilalba dels Arcs. The project began in the summer of 2025, when two local residents, Ramon Mañà and Enric Chiveli, finally set the idea in motion after years of discussing it. Within a few weeks, more than 40 people joined the initiative and a provisional board was formed, led by Marina Bada as its first president.
The founders agree that the driving force behind the project has been the desire to create a network of activities centred on the blaugrana spirit, as well as the enthusiasm to promote Barça among the town’s youngest residents. “We want and aspire for all the boys and girls of Vilalba to be Barça supporters,” they explain.
The penya currently has 100 members, a figure that confirms the warm reception of this new entity within the village’s social life. They are already organising gatherings, meals, raffles and trips to watch Barça. Among the activities they aim to repeat every year are the Members’ Gathering, Barça Basket, and trips to matches. At the same time, work is under way to prepare the club’s headquarters, which will be officially opened soon.
A new blaugrana reference point in Toledo
The Peña Barcelonista San Miguel de Novés in Toledo was born out of the determination of a group of friends who wanted to fill a historic gap: providing Novés with an official Barça supporters’ club, which until now had not existed despite the presence of supporters’ clubs for other teams.
In just a few months, the club has already reached 77 members, a figure that reflects its rapid growth and the enthusiasm it has generated among local fans.
Since its creation, the supporters’ club has promoted an intense programme of social activity. Early initiatives included a community paella held in November 2025, as well as several group gatherings to watch Barça matches together. One of the projects that has generated the most excitement is the organisation of a trip to the Spotify Camp Nou, which will be the club’s first official visit to the blaugrana stadium.
In a short space of time, the Peña Barcelonista San Miguel de Novés has become a sporting and social reference point. The group has succeeded in mobilising Barça supporters in the town, creating a space for social interaction and building links with other penyes in the area, thereby strengthening the blaugrana presence in the region.
