No slip ups from the league leaders as the FC Barcelona roller hockey team took a hard fought 2-0 win away from home against SHUM Frit Ravich. Xavi Barroso and Marc Grau were the scorers with keeper Sergi Fernández also playing a key role in the success.

Barroso adds the first

Ricard Ares' side piled on the pressure early on but SHUM keeper Jordi Pons was a major obstacle. Font and Pablo Álvarez went close before it was Xavi Barroso on 9 minutes who opened the scoring.

The home side rallied and threatened and Barça keeper Sergi Fernández had to be on the ball to prevent an equaliser. Into the second half and the blaugrana shotstopper proved his value with another string of saves to maintain his side's slender lead. Barça bided their team and it was Marc Grau who sealed victory with a late strike to make it 2-0 at SHUM chase the game in the final minutes.

Barça are next in action in Europe against Igualada Rigat HC on Wednesday, starting at 9pm CET.
